RE/MAX Zest made a bright and bold statement at the Pink Star Walk 2018, held at the Auckland Domain late last month.
Broker owner Eric Chase, agents and support staff – along with family, friends and Paul Zingel’s labrador retriever, Lexi – walked to raise awareness and funds, with the ultimate goal to prevent deaths from breast cancer.
Approximately 3000 people were in attendance for the five or ten kilometre walk to raise funds for Breast Cancer research.
From the RE/MAX Zest team were Eric and Margaret Chase, Elmarie Bezuidenhout, Gavin Meyer, Tracey Fox, Gemma Rowlinson, Lisa Walden, Paul Zingel and Westley Thomson.
“In New Zealand, nine women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer. That is more than 3,300 a year, and around 25 men are diagnosed each year, too,” Mr Chase said.
“Pink Star Walk events are to remember both the survivors and those whose lives have been lost.
“We proudly participated to help Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand continue saving lives through early detection and expanding horizons in breast cancer research.
“The vision is for zero deaths from breast cancer, and we want to be part of seeing that occur, “he said.
